“Asia provides families with resources in order to help them better understand the special needs of their children. She enjoys participating as a team. She is knowledgeable, communicates well with others, possesses excellent written and oral communication skills, and cares about people. She is a good critical thinker and I admire her dedication and consistent focus on the academic and social needs of each of her students.” – Former ESE Specialist in Broward County, Dr. Koch

“As principal, I’ve personally witnessed her cooperative spirit, professional attitude, and caring disposition. Mrs. Hutchins is a passionate educator with a deep commitment to helping students achieve at their highest level. She worked tirelessly with her team and colleagues to ensure students received needed services and their parents understood their progress as well as identified goals. Her level of expertise and willingness to put in the extra hours to ensure all her students’ needs exceeded expectations was the norm. She earned the respect of her students, colleagues, and parents.” – Former Principal in Leon County, Dr. Wilson

When I worked in the school system as a Speech-Language Pathologist, I successfully lead or co-lead over 500+ IEP meetings for students with the following eligibilities/exceptionalities: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Delay (DD), Intellectual Disabilities (IND), Language Impairment (LI), Speech Impairment (SI), and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). I truly enjoy attending IEP meetings, advocating for students, assisting parents, and I am organized and personable. I have attended meetings alongside parents, ESE teachers, general education teachers, special area teachers, principals, assistant principals, ESE specialists, program specialists, school psychologists, behavioral interventionists, social workers, guidance counselors, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and assistive technology specialists.

I am excited to help you to interpret your child's IEP, to ease your nerves about IEP meetings and what to expect at them, and to help you better advocate for appropriate goals and services for your child, as a part of their IEP team. I will help you to work well alongside the school staff to help your child carryover skills learned at home to their school and skills learned at school to your home. You are a valued member of the IEP team and your input and opinion truly matters in the decisions that the team makes for your child.

I am here to ensure that your child receives adequate services at their public school and to help your child get referred and tested for special education services, as needed.
